As an Auto AC Electrician at Akwa Ibom State Government Transport Company Limited, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems in our fleet of vehicles.

Your role will involve diagnosing AC-related issues, repairing or replacing faulty components, and ensuring that vehicles provide comfortable and safe transportation for passengers.

You will play a vital role in maintaining the comfort and satisfaction of our passengers during their travels.


Key Responsibilities:

Air Conditioning System Maintenance:
Diagnose AC system problems in vehicles using diagnostic tools and inspection techniques.
Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and refrigerant lines.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on AC systems, including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues affecting AC system performance, such as wiring problems, compressor failures, and refrigerant leaks.
Conduct pressure tests and leak inspections to identify and repair leaks in the AC system.
Test repaired AC systems to ensure proper functionality and cooling performance.

Installation and Retrofitting:
Install new AC systems or retrofit existing systems to meet performance and efficiency standards.
Upgrade vehicle AC systems with new components or technologies to improve cooling capacity and energy efficiency.
Ensure that all installations and retrofits comply with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct preventive maintenance on AC systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

Clean and service AC components regularly to remove dust, debris, and microbial growth that can affect air quality and system efficiency.

Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage for tracking and reporting purposes.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries while working on vehicle AC systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing AC system installation, repair, and refrigerant handling.
Participate in safety training programs and stay informed about industry best practices for AC maintenance and repair.
