Job Title: Residential Cook

Location: Utako, Abuja

Salary: ₦200,000 – ₦250,000 per month (Based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, talented, and highly organised Residential Cook to join a private household of nine people in Utako, Abuja. The ideal candidate will have proven experience preparing a wide range of local and continental dishes, be passionate about creating delicious meals, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and organisation in the kitchen.

This is a full-time role requiring dedication, creativity, and the ability to manage daily meal planning and preparation for the household.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), ensuring variety and balanced nutrition.
• Create weekly meal plans in collaboration with the family.
• Cook both local and continental dishes to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organized kitchen at all times.
• Manage kitchen supplies, food inventory, and grocery shopping where required.
• Ensure meals are served on time and presented in a professional and appealing way.
• Work closely with household staff to coordinate schedules and service.

Basic Requirements

• Proven experience as a Residential Cook or Chef in a private household or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of local and continental cuisine.
• Must be very clean, organised, and presentable.
• Hardworking, disciplined, and creative in meal preparation.
• Ability to work Monday to Sunday with one day off weekly.
• Experience cooking for larger households or families.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Compensation

• Competitive salary: ₦200,000 – ₦250,000 per month
• One day off weekly
