    Job Summary

    The UNFPA Nigeria Country Office seeks a SRH Programme Coordinator to provide programmatic and technical leadership in sexual and reproductive health, promoting universal access to SRH services, reducing maternal mortality, and enhancing access to quality care.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Leadership and Management: Develop and implement the SRH strategy and work plans in alignment with UNFPA's global and regional strategies and Nigeria's national SRH policies.
    • Technical Guidance and Oversight: Provide technical expertise for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of SRH programs.
    • Program Management: Oversee the management of SRH projects, including budgeting, financial management, and reporting.
    • Resource Mobilization: Actively scan the internal and external environment for potential partnerships and funding opportunities.
    • Advocacy and Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and other stakeholders.
    • Capacity Building: Strengthen the capacity of national partners and UNFPA staff in SRH through training, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing.

    Qualifications:

    • Advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in Public Health, Health Economy, Medicine, Social Sciences, or related field.
    • At least 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in SRH, including program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Demonstrated leadership and management experience.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong technical knowledge of SRH issues, policies, and programs.
    • Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
