    Job Summary

    Our partner is a growing logistics provider specializing in haulage, freight forwarding, and cargo services in Nigeria. They are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer with at least 2-3 years of experience in sales and new client acquisition within the
    logistics
    industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing partnerships across B2B and B2C segments, driving revenue through strategic partnerships and sales, building client relationships, and ensuring all data is tracked and organized accurately.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Sales Strategy & Business Growth

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the company's client base across B2B and B2C segments.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives and exceed revenue targets.
    • Develop a comprehensive growth strategy focused both on financial gain and sustained customer satisfaction.
    • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.

    2. Lead Generation & Client Management

    • Generate qualified leads through effective cold outreach, networking, and digital channels.
    • Convert leads into active clients by clearly presenting tailored logistics solutions and service capabilities.
    • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and ensure accurate tracking and reporting using the CRM or basic tracking system.

    3. Account Coordination & Relationship Building

    • Build and maintain strong, strategic, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Manage the initial onboarding process for key clients, serving as the point person until the service is fully operational.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

    4. Market Intelligence & Efficiency

    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
    • Drive efficiency by proactively identifying and implementing process improvements related to sales and tracking.
    • Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative team spirit within the lean & dynamic company.

    Experience & Qualifications

    Education
    : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

    Experience
    : Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the
    logistics
    industry.

    Required Skills:

    • Proven track record in meeting sales targets and closing deals.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and move clients through a sales pipeline using a CRM or basic tracking system.
    • Strong organizational skills with proven ability in project management or managing complex client onboarding processes.
    • Excellent communication (verbal & written), negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets and a can-do mindset; highly results-driven.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Salary
    : 200, ,000 naira +
