Job summary
We are seeking a Senior Urban Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing new city masterplans and evolving current plans based on input from senior management and stakeholders.You will create key 'Place Strategy' documents including Art & Culture, Sport & Recreation, Health & Wellbeing, Education & Training, Retail & Commercial, Community & Residential, Open Space & Public Realm. Prepare detailed CAD based Physical plans and Precinct Plans as well as physical layout plans for yield projections of residential areas.
Develop street design guidelines (place-making), built form design guidelines (setbacks) and collaborate with the landscape team to develop master plans for indigenous landscapes and streetscapes that define the cities as Kenyan,Nigerian,Ghanaian Congolese,
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Architecture,Landscape Architecture or Urban Design with at least ten years experience in urban development work. Ability to express ideas effectively both orally and in writing is essential.
