    Job Title: Senior Program Manager

Location: Nigeria, Abuja [Remote] - the role will require some travel, both within Nigeria and internationally.

    About TomorrowNow

TomorrowNow is rewriting the future of agricultural resilience. By harnessing next-generation weather and climate technology, we're empowering smallholder farmers to adapt and thrive amidst the challenges of climate change.

From a starting base of 5 million farmers, our ambition is bold: to reach 15 million by 2026 and 100 million by 2030.

As a non-traditional climate tech nonprofit, TomorrowNow combines cutting-edge innovation with on-the-ground action to deliver scalable solutions for those most affected by climate change.

Our mission is to transform how smallholder farmers access and use climate information, turning it into a powerful lever for growth, resilience, and prosperity.

    About the role

The Senior Programme Manager should be an experienced professional with a strong track record in planning, executing, and delivering projects efficiently, while ensuring alignment with organizational targets, timelines, and budgets. This role requires demonstrated capability in delivering measurable results and impact across complex programmes.

Key responsibilities include stakeholder management, strategic advising, project planning and implementation, and monitoring project outcomes and quality—specifically within the Nigerian context. Experience engaging with government institutions and the private sector is essential, as the role will involve coordination with public and private actors to ensure alignment with national priorities and effective implementation.

The ideal candidate will also have a proven ability to implement innovative, data-driven solutions aimed at strengthening systems, improving service delivery, and generating tangible benefits for end users, particularly in agriculture, climate resilience, or related sectors.

    What you'll do:

    • Project Planning and Strategy Development
    • Project Assessment and Planning
    • Project Implementation and Support
    • Reporting and Recommendations
      Stakeholder Management

What you bring (Qualification and Attributes):

    • At least 10 years of relevant working experience, with over 7 years experience in project management or project leadership roles.
    • A Master's degree (MSc.) in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Policy, Development Studies, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Environmental Science, Climate Studies, or another related field is required.
    • Experience working within the Nigerian agricultural ecosystem is critical. The role requires a deep understanding of the agricultural landscape, including its structural challenges, key stakeholders, and policy environment. Familiarity with the realities faced by smallholder farmers, as well as the opportunities and limitations of existing support systems, is essential. In particular, the position demands strong insight into digital farmer service delivery models.
    • Proven experience in managing partnerships and relationships with government agencies, private sector actors, and development partners or donors is essential. The role requires the ability to build trust, align interests across diverse stakeholders, and steward high-value collaborations that contribute to programmatic success and long-term sustainability.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt in a dynamic project environment.
Digital Technology Savvy: As the agricultural sector continues to evolve in response to technological advancements and climate change, the candidate should demonstrate a high learning aptitude and be well-versed in digital technologies and innovations relevant to agriculture and climate science. Familiarity with digital advisory platforms, geospatial tools, data-driven decision-making, and emerging agri-tech solutions will be a strong asset.

    Personal Attributes

Impact-Oriented: This individual should be driven by a commitment to delivering tangible benefits for farmers and end users, while also ensuring satisfaction and value for project teams, donors, and partners.

Project Implementation and Management: The ideal candidate is a seasoned project manager who can steer relationships and support implementation of time-sensitive projects and deliver milestones and targets timely and effectively.

Collaborative: The role involves substantial collaboration with the State ministry of agriculture, Nigeria Meteorology and private sector actors: the individual must be able to work effectively with diverse teams and prepare reports.
