Nursing Officer (Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital,Sagamu,Nigeria)

•Providing round-the-clock care
•Caring for basic needs such as passing of nasogastric tube and feeding (NG tube feeding).
•Caring for severely ill using CPAP, apnoea monitor,tracheostomy care,PEG,enteral feeding,suctioning machines and administration of oxygen.
•Administration of prescribed medications and fluids using soluset and infusion pump.
•Ability to perform a range of emergency procedures, such as, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), arrest of hemorrhage, and nebulization
Assisting physicians with diagnostics, such as, X-Rays, C T scan

•Urinalysis, Catheterization and Catheter care by ensuring aseptic non-touch technique
•Wound dressing by maintaining strict aseptic technique.
•Basic health checks, general examination including head to toe examination & Neurological Assessment.
