I write in response to your ad seeking an experienced Care Assistant. As a highly competent Health Care Assistant, I would bring a service-focused and hard-working attitude to this role.
l have been actively involved in volunteering services with outstanding performance as a caregiver and have thoroughly enjoyed working to assist geriatric patients for the past 16 years. I strongly believe that my passion and sincere desire to help the elderly makes me the perfect candidate for the job. I have always taken the "giver" in "caregiver" very seriously and as such have devoted myself to the selfless care of all my clients.
I take an approach that focuses on dedicating myself to ensuring not only the health of
patients, but also their happiness. Towards this end, I spearheaded the development of 5
weekly activities for over 30 residents, ensuring that their time in my previous community was as enjoyable as possible. I noticed that your community has a large number of patients who are not ambulatory. A significant proportion of my previous patients were not ambulatory, and I, therefore, developed the skills (and strength) required when dealing with patients for whom moving about was a challenge. I know that many of your patients fall into this category.
At my previous job, it was my pleasure to regularly reposition 5 immobile patients in order to prevent physical discomfort. I would love to be able to utilize my physical strength (combined with a gentle touch) to provide the same much needed assistance to the members of your community. As my experience has grown, I have come to understand the signs that someone requires further medical intervention, mental health support or simply someone to talk to as they are a little lonely. I am passionate about giving back to the older generations and I feel that every visit offers me a little more wisdom or food for thought in return.
My good communication skill will also enable me to provide emotional support to the
residents and help them to form a healthy strategy in coping with their challenges. My can-do. 

attitude will help me in following the care plan and reporting changes in circumstances of residents to the appropriate head or authority.
