About Stephanie Satsi:

I am trained ceramic artist from Nigeria. I have  participated in several exhibitions , workshops and art fares. Currently, I am lecturer of ceramics who has a flare for  tradition ceramics, industrial ceramics, clay mineralogy and digital ceramics.

 Fashion design is another area of special interest for me. I have been in the fashion industry for over 10 years now. I make custom made dresses, shirts, trousers, bags and wedding gowns.

I am skilled in various aspects of ceramic production as well as sewing techniques, I posses very good hand eye coordination and can interpret colours very well.

Experience

I have was a ceramic technologist  for five years, the job description exposed me to firing techniques, clay, slip and glaze preparation. It also afforded me the opportunity to be part of a gas kiln building team.

 I am currently a ceramic lecturer  with 3 years experience. I teach hand building, throwing, casting and theory of ceramics at university level.

I have BA and MA Industial Design from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
