I am a final-year student of International Relations at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), driven by a deep interest in global affairs, diplomacy, and how nations interact on the world stage. Studying at NOUN has provided me with the flexibility to balance academic rigor with real-world experience, while deepening my understanding of international politics, global security, foreign policy, and development issues.

Throughout my studies, I have developed strong analytical skills and a keen awareness of the political, economic, and cultural factors that shape international relations. Courses such as African Foreign Policy, International Organizations, and Global Political Economy have been particularly influential in shaping my academic and professional goals.

As a student of an open and distance learning institution, I have honed a high level of discipline, self-motivation, and independent research ability—skills that are essential in both academic and professional settings. I am especially interested in Africa’s role in global politics and the potential for regional integration to foster development and peace across the continent.

Looking ahead, I aim to pursue a career in diplomacy, international development, or policy research. I am passionate about contributing to Nigeria’s global engagement and promoting international cooperation, peace, and sustainable development.

I have volunteered with an NGO that focuses on the sustainable development of rural communities in Nigeria, where I worked on projects aimed at fostering international partnerships and securing foreign aid for local development initiatives. This has solidified my interest in pursuing a career in international development and diplomacy.

As I approach graduation, I am excited to take my passion for global affairs into the professional world, with the goal of contributing to Nigeria’s international standing, promoting peace building initiatives, and advocating for sustainable development policies both within Africa and globally
