My name is Rakiya. I am a trained teacher with passion for education and learning. I take pride in sharing that I have truly thrived as an educator. Throughout my career, I have consistently excelled in creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for my students. By implementing innovative teaching methodologies,  fostering meaningful connection with students and tailoring my instructions to meet their diverse learning styles. I have witnessed remarkable growth and achievements among my students. The joy i derive from seeing my students flourish academically and personally fuels my passion for education for the past 5 years of teaching. 

As a dedicated teacher, I consistently fostered a positive and engaging learning environment resulting in improved student performance. I implemented innovative teaching strategies such as project based learning and differentiate instruction which motivated students to actively participate in their education and achieve exceptional academic growth. 

In my role as an Academic Coordinator,  I successfully led curriculum development initiatives, working closely with teachers to align the curriculum with educational standards and best practices. I provided targeted professional development opportunities,  empowering teachers to implement effective institutional strategies and differentiate instructions to meet the diverse needs of students. Through this efforts,  we noticed significant improvements in student's outcomes and received positive feedback from both teachers and parents.

In my current role as a Learning Supervisor, I have taken on a broader leadership role, overseeing instructional support and professional development for team of educators. I have implemented a data-informed approach, analysing student performance data to identify areas of improvement and designing targeted interventions. By providing instructional coaching and facilitating collaborative learning environment.  I have fostered a culture of continuous improvement among teachers, resulting in enhanced instructional practices and improved student achievement.

I have 5+ years of experience as a dedicated and passionate teacher. During my teaching tenure, I have worked with students ranging from elementary to high school, delivering instructions English, Science, Social Studies, Geography and Civic Education. In my role as a teacher, I have been responsible for designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student performance and providing individualized support to foster academic growth.

I am well- versed in employing a variety of teaching strategies, including project-based learning, inquiry-based instruction and differentiated learning techniques, to cater to diverse student needs and promote active participation in the learning process. I have consistently collaborated with fellow teachers, administrators and parents to foster to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment. 

I maintain open lines of communication, regularly providing progress updates, organizing parent-teacher conference and seeking opportunity to involve families in their child’s education. 

I am committed to staying abreast of the latest educational research and best practices. I actively pursue professional development opportunities, attending workshops, conferences and online courses to refine my institutional techniques and enhance my pedagogical knowledge. 

My most relevant education is a post-graduate diploma in education obtained from the National Teachers Institute, Abuja and a certified member of the Teacher's Registration Council of Nigeria.
