During my One year National Youth Service Program (NYSC), I had the opportunity to work at the National Space Research and Development Agency as a researcher. Through intensive training sessions at the agency, I honed my skills in geospatial analysis. One of the notable projects I worked on was the land suitability analysis for grazing land, aimed at mitigating conflicts between farmers and herdsmen in certain regions of the country. I successfully completed the analysis by creating a comprehensive map highlighting the most suitable areas across the nation for land grazing.

Additionally, I conducted geospatial analysis on collected data sets pertaining to the proximity of Kaduna healthcare centers to residents. This involved analyzing the geographic information to assess the accessibility and convenience of healthcare facilities for the local population.

Furthermore, I gained valuable experience during my SiWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme) internship program at the National Geological Survey Agency. As a laboratory intern, my responsibilities primarily involved preparing geological samples for subsequent geochemical analysis. I followed established guidelines to ensure accurate specimen handling and also prepared specimens for transportation.

Overall, these professional experiences have equipped me with a solid foundation in geospatial analysis, laboratory procedures, and data interpretation, which are valuable assets and have provided me with a strong foundation in project management principles and methodologies. I have developed a deep understanding of effective time management, organization, and team collaboration, which are vital skills in management.

I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, which provided me with a comprehensive understanding of various geological concepts and techniques. Alongside my academic achievements, I have also obtained a professional certification in project management, enhancing my skills in planning, organizing, and executing projects effectively.

In addition to my educational background, I am currently focusing on expanding my computer skills to complement my geology expertise. I am actively learning programming languages such as Python, which is widely used in data analysis and automation. This will enable me to leverage computational tools to analyze geological data more efficiently and derive meaningful insights.

Furthermore, I am pursuing advanced proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI. These skills are highly sought after in the industry as they enable effective data management, manipulation, and visualization. By mastering these tools, I aim to enhance my ability to extract valuable information from geological datasets and present them in a clear and concise manner.

Overall, my recent educational experiences reflect my dedication to continuous learning and the desire to acquire a well-rounded skill set in geology, project management, and computer proficiency.
