I am a registered nurse-midwife and licensed Nurse from Nova Scotia College of Nursing with license number (114508). As a professional with over ten years of experience in the health care field, I'm committed to building meaningful relationships with patients to deliver the care they need. In my current registered nurse position, I coordinated a training program that taught entry-level nurses to improve bedside manner and strengthen patients' morale.  The program resulted in a 15% increase in employee retention. My experience includes conducting preoperative and post-operative patient monitoring, implementing meticulous protocols for diabetic patients, and maintaining the highest standards of communication and documentation to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality. I have competently performed Foley catheter and straight catheter insertions, managed blood transfusions, and executed airway management procedures through suctioning to maintain optimal respiratory health. Additionally, I am skilled in tasks such as nasogastric tube insertion, enteral nutrition administration, and wound care management. I conducted patient assessments, created personalized treatment plans, administered medications and treatments, and played a crucial role in assisting during surgical procedures, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.In addition to my practical experience, I have pursued continuous education and hold certifications in Basic Life Support, Cpr-Ade-First Aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, among others. Thesecertifications reflect my commitment to staying updated on the latest healthcare practices and technologies and applying evidence-based approaches to patient care. I am highly skilled in using various medical equipment and electronicmedical records systems, ensuring efficient and accurate patient care.
