I am a seasoned Accountant with over four years of experience in Finance and Accounts. I am passionate about Strategy and Finance and have good analytical skills. Also, I am a professional student at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). I passed my Strategic Financial Management (SFM) paper in one sitting in the just concluded May 2022 examination diet of the institute and am currently working with the Finance and Accounts department of African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) where I work reconciling interoffice transactions and General Ledger Accounts and also posting necessary Journals using Oracle ERP while helping the department to prepare its financial statements and other information presented in the annual report with integrity and fair presentation. I formerly worked as an HR/Finance & Admin officer with LogistiQ Xpeditor Limited trading as LXGLOBAL, where I helped the company through my organizational skills to achieve its Logistics & Supply Chain Management. I got into Administration from Sales and Marketing at Kleenol Nigeria Limited by expanding their customer base. I have also worked at Risk Control Services as a verification officer and also work as an intern with 7UP bottling company and Guaranty Trust Bank plc.
Outside of work, I love to act and anchor corporate events and I play guitar for fun. I am a young active citizen of Nigeria. I was born in Lagos, Nigeria in the mid-'80s. I had a very solid foundation in my Nursery, Primary and Secondary education. I attended Polytechnic and University to study Accountancy. I am adventurous in nature and I like to motivate and encourage people. I am a member of various service-oriented organizations. I believe that service to humanity is the best work of life. I like singing, traveling, reading, swimming, and having fun. I have an interest in art and entertainment. I also believe I can do well as an actor. I studied and like Accounting as a profession. Finance and Accounts Officer

September 2018 - Present

  • Perform analytical review of monthly revenue and income statement, reconciling all inter-office transactions with 100% accuracy and transparency.
  • Monitor and escalate issues from statutory audits, collaborating with the external auditors to meet their audit requirements annually making sure all discrepancies are found and addressed to cut the processing time by 20 hours a week to meet up with deadlines.
  • Prepare financial statements for statutory purposes and internal reporting (MIS), and ensure that financial accounts are in compliance with Accounting Standards (IAS, IFRS, and GAAP) to increase transparency by 50% and trust in financial reporting.
  • Spearheaded a Dividend schedule and ensure that all shareholders are paid 100% of their dividend, using ERP to rectify outstanding Dividend payable summary with the Dividend account, thus building a foundation of trust among shareholders and the company.
  • Ensure there is an effective shareholder and competitor analysis, and peer perception analysis on a regular basis.
