The main experience that sparked my interest in caregiving were personal experience. I cared for my grand mum who had kidney failure for a year and six months and needed care, emotional support and companionship. While caring for my grand mum as a family care giver, I developed an in-depth love for the profession. Few months later she passed on, in other to gain more experience on how to care for those who may need my assistance, I joined geriatric care facility called paradigm geriatric services to volunteer as a care worker in other to pursue my passion in caregiving.

In my role as a care worker, I assist the registered nurses in providing person-centered care ensuring care planes are tailored specifically to the needs of the patients, I support with personal care, grooming, feeding, medication prompting, mobility, range of motion exercise, assist with minimal transfer from bed to wheelchair, housekeeping like bed making, cleaning, washing and laundry. I am observant and sensitive to the needs of others. I possess a pleasant disposition to work with a strong work ethic and work perfectly with teams. My command of speaking and written is exceptional as I have worked in facing roles. In this role I enhance my skill in communication and time management and ensure customer satisfaction without complaint

Through the course of my career I demonstrated great skills in team work collaboration, flexible to accommodate unpredictable nature of work and strict adherence policies and procedures. 

My care certificates training (standard 1-15) shows my commitment to personal development. I have inventive ways to improve health condition while building trusting relationships. I can work under pressure and safely deliver good care in professional manner.
