A certified project manager with 3+ years of experience owning all stages of project lifecycles from inception through monitoring and closing to deliver projects that exceed expectations on time and on budget.

VALUABLE SKILLS

My experience as a project manager taught me how to deal with different stakeholders daily. One of the most critical skills I  possess a project manager  is managing and navigating complex stakeholder relationships.

The key to managing difficult stakeholders is understanding their motivations and concerns. Once i know what drives them, I can start finding common ground and building trust.

Only some will always be happy, but it is my job to ensure everyone has a voice and that we are all moving toward the same goal. Open communication and transparency are essential to successful stakeholder management.Also It is essential to always think about changes in the context of my project plan. Every change can impact my project’s schedule, budget, and overall outcome.

As a project manager, it is my job to anticipate potential changes and ensure i have contingencies to deal with them.

Some changes are reasonable. In fact, many changes can be suitable for a project — for example, if a new customer comes on board or someone comes up with a better way to do something.

It is essential for me to be flexible and open to change when it represents an improvement for my project. But at the same time, I do not want to let things get out of control by allowing changes to be made without proper planning and consideration.

As a project manager, i think about changes and how they impact the project plan in two ways:

How will the change impact the schedule? Will it delay the project or cause us to miss our deadline? How will the change impact our budget? Will it require more resources or incur additional costs?

Having experience with critical path analysis is necessary which is what I have , as it is a crucial part of project management. The critical path is the sequence of activities that determines the shortest overall duration for a project.It allows me to see the dependencies between tasks and ensure that the project moves forward as quickly as possible.
 

And as a project manager, i oversee all aspects of a project and delegate tasks to team members. I have excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate my team and keep the project on track.

To lead a team for a multi-faceted project, as a project manager I  develop a comprehensive plan with specific milestones and deadlines. I then need to break down the plan into smaller tasks that can be delegated to my team members.

It is essential to ensure that each team member clearly understands their role and what is expected of them. I also must be available to provide support and guidance when needed.

To stay organized and on track, regular status updates should be provided to both the team and stakeholders.

As a project manager, i always try to plan for every possible contingency, but some uncertainty inevitably arises. When it does, I try to stay calm and focused, and make decisions based on the best information available.

Keeping an open mind

No two projects are the same. So, as a project manager, it is my  job to be flexible and adapt to the constantly changing environment of each project.

Another one of my project management experience is when as an experienced project manager I manage multiple tasks without becoming overwhelmed or stressed because I have  a system for managing my time and resources.

To manage multiple tasks effectively, I  must first establish priorities. Then i develop a plan for completing each job and set deadlines.

United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC is a leading pan- African financial services institution with a global footprint. As a campus Marketer, I was charged with the following responsibilities;
Managing Social Media and Social Media Marketing Tools;
Undertaking Marketing campaigns and organizing marketing events and promotional activities;
Advertising and marketing UBA accounts and offers to prospective customers across tertiary institutions in Imo State, Nigeria.

FMDQ 2022 till date ( Financial Market Infrastructure Group Warehousing) : I  plan and administers finance-related projects. My duties included building teams for projects through hiring or internal promotion, consulting with managers and stakeholders to determine the scheduling, budget, and scope of the projects, and preparing the team to begin.

Nigeria Ports Authority

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is a federal government agency that governs and operates the ports of Nigeria. The major ports controlled by the NPA include: the Lagos Port Complex and Tin Can Island Port in Lagos; Calabar Port, Delta Port, Rivers Port at Port Harcourt, and Onne Port. At the NPA, I assumed the following roles and responsibilities;
completing required documents associated with operations in an accurate and timely manner; supervising vessel planning activities prior to the ship arriving to port;
ensuring the load and discharge is performed accurately and timely;
assuming responsibility for ensuring vessels sail at the earliest time possible;
acting as a focal point for any stevedoring issues that may arise with assigned vessels, and;
Other duties as assigned.
