DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Supervise efficient treatment for patients and conduct appropriate diagnoses for patients. Perform regular inspections on all x-ray equipment and monitor equipment and ensure cleanliness and perform appropriate diagnosis.
Evaluate all x-ray films and coordinate with physicians on the same, Manage and ensure efficient disposal of various waste materials.
Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging, talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety.
Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position. Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to myself and to the patient. Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.
Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs, and placing orders. Assist patients with abnormal x-ray findings and provide results to physicians for appropriate evaluation.
Maintain records of all X-rays and prepare reports for same, prepare and update the logbook and register patient number, x-ray procedure, and date of the procedure.
Ensure and maintain records of x-ray films and associate cassettes, schedule appointments for patients' appropriate x-ray clinics.
Manage radiographs, prepare solutions and wash all x-ray films, assist patients to prepare for x-ray and operate associate machinery. Manage and operate x-ray machines according to patient specifications.
