Job Designation: Livelihood Nutrition Integration Officer; BMZ FUNDED WFP PROJECT. BADE YOBE STATE          August 2022 –Date.

Primary Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited to The Following:

  • supporting the implementation of the livelihood components of the program (VSLA AND IGA).
  • Provide technical guidance to Nutrition Beneficiaries on Establishment of Backyard Garden and utilization.
  • Participate in Training of Trainers workshops and community level demonstrations for households on the development, processing, and utilization of diverse and nutrient dense crops products.
  • Undertake training on Small Business Developmet and Enterprenuership skills.
  • Provide technical Support for Activity 4 Women Under WFP BMZ Project on Nutrition Sensitive Value Chain.
  • Promote the preparation, utilization and consumption of diverse and nutrient dense crops and promote them among smallholder farmers.
  • Plan and implement all project activities as per the approved proposal and policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with the community leaders and the district local authorities in the project area.
  • Mobilize communities in the project area in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the project.
  • Promote community participation through establishment of community linkages that recognize positive contribution to program interventions.
  • Responsible for overseeing identification, selection and registration of all project beneficiaries based on the approved criteria.
  • Responsible for the emergency cash-based response implementation.
  • In liaison with the Livelihood Manager, review and approve project beneficiary lists before commencement of activities.
  • In liaison with the Livelihood Manager and other relevant field staff, prepare weekly and monthly work plans for efficient and timely implementation of the project activities.
  • Maintain up to date records of information of all project beneficiaries for follow ups and reporting.
  • Compile timely and regular progress and circumstantial reports and submit to the Livelihood Manager when as required.
  • Supervise assigned program staff to ensure they execute their tasks well.
  • Support the Livelihood Manager in tracking of expenditures at the field level.
  • Drafting monthly progress and donor reports Conduct regular field-based data collection activities

 

DIAMOND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE DDI

Job Designation: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Assistant Yobe; Rural Rescilience Activity (RRA).   

March 2022 –  Aug 2022.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop a routine monitoring plan. Actively participate in planning, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive information of all partners to the project. Collate, analyze and interpret data with a view to making decisions or recommendations to the management. Develop data collection tools.
  • Work with data platforms, databases and technologies to capture and organize data. Monitor project activities output and progress toward anticipated results. Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
  • Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output. Monitor the sustainability of the project's results.
  • Provide feedback to the Project Manager on project strategies and activities. Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks. Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer/Coordinator.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Manager in preparing relevant reports.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of the project. Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation.
  • Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer / Project Coordinator.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Officers/coordinator in preparing relevant reports.
  • Prepare and maintain data base. Prepare Issues Log and Risk Log for the project. 
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

CENTRE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH NETWORK

Job Designation: Livelihood Assistant; July 2019 – Feb. 2022.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist program team to ensure program progress according to the developed schedule and work plan.
  • Assist in the coordination of livelihood activities in Bade
  • Liaise with local community representatives and stakeholders to promote the project mission and activities and overcome any obstacles or issue that may arise in the field.
  • Assist in the sensitizing, mobilizing, training, and strengthening Community Based Committees to verify eligible households to receive rations during monthly distributions
  • Assist in promoting community participation and inclusion as to encourage community ownership over activities implemented.
  • Assist in ensuring that all commodities arriving at any given point, localities, districts and distribution centres are properly accounted.
  • Assist in the facilitation of community meetings, focus group discussion and other as required.
  • Provide weekly field reports, capturing activities progress, lessons learned as well as general situation and community updates and needs.
  • Document lessons learned and success stories on the livelihood activities.
  • Identify learning and training opportunities for partner staff and communicate this to the Livelihood Manager.
  • Supporting coordination working groups within the host communities or targeted sites.
  • Contribute to communications and media work as required through correction of data and information and sharing with the project heads.
  • Assist in any MEAL activities conducted under the Livelihood activities.
  • Attending other related functions as and when assigned by Supervisor.

Education

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health (2018 – 2019: College of Education Gashua, Yobe State, Nigeria Affiliated to University of Maiduguri).

 

  • Bachelor of Agric, agricultural Economics and Extension (2009 – 2017: Adamawa State University Mubi,             Adamawa State)
  • West African Senior School Certificate Examination (2004) (Leader’s Private School, Damaturu Nigeria).
