Mapped existing GBV services in and around communities in the LGA I was assigned to, I identified communities within the LGAs and planned visits, travelled to LGA of assignment and visited all communities within the LGA.

Paid advocacy visits to community gate keepers to solicit their support and necessary information, scoped and identified institutions across key sectors (governmental, non-governmental, faith-based, community based organizations, civil society organizations etc.) in the area that provide services relevant for survivors of GBV. I used the survey questionnaire tool to assess current GBV prevention and response activities within the LGA of assignment through Key Informant Interviews (KII) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)

I collated the digital and verified names on the attendance sheets, verified account details of campaign personnel using standard methodology on REDCap. I also collated other support documents that are necessary for payment of adhoc staff (such as copies of waybills, etc). I literally stood as the link between CRS and the LGA personnel and was also responsible for sending payment schedule to the Vector control unit, for further confirmation and revert to participants with issues that need follow-up. I was responsible for distribution of campaign materials (training and implementation) for my LGA and timely delivery to the LGA team. I was also responsible for liaising with the food vendor in my LGA to ensure timely delivery of the food, the right quantity based on agreement with the vendor and to report issues with regards to the feeding if any. I also carried out monitoring and supervision of all personnel in the LGA.

 

Research Study Consultant

I screened, recruited and consented the study participants in accordance to the study SOP or research protocol, collected quality data for the study in assigned health facility through clinical observation, qualitative and quantitative interviews, as well as data abstraction.

I carried out interviews (baseline and exit) for at least 12 persons per week across ANC and Family Planning units. Facilitated lessons learned workshop and pulse surveys with service providers and also administer the GBV Quality Assurance Tool at month 1, 3 and 6 of the study. I ensured data security and keep custody of the android tablet devices given for the job and gave daily update on activities to the Study Team. I also submitted monthly report of activities carried out using the MCGL format and other required documentations.

Additionally, I supported healthcare facilities in utilizing DHIS 2 and arranged awareness meetings for APPR with relevant authorities. I utilized DHIS2 to keep track of healthcare facilities' progress and recognize areas of improvement such as data completeness, quality, and service delivery performance. I maintained records of action items, monthly reports, and daily field reports on Microsoft Teams. Overall, I was accountable for ensuring that the performance of healthcare facilities was improved by conducting regular meetings and implementing the use of DHIS2. I documented issues and established steps to boost clinical outcomes while also maintaining records on Microsoft Teams

 

LGA Monitoring and Evaluation Officer 

Catholic Relief Services (Global Fund) Malaria Project

I successfully led and coordinated the LGA Health team in distributing over 120,000 long lasting insecticidal nets (LLIN’s) in all the ten wards of the LGA, comprising of 421 settlements and a coverage of 97% in Donga despite the hostility and insecurity of the LGA particularly. Successfully carried out reverse logistics of remaining LLIN’s back to the State.

I carried out DQA on facilities focal sites and key Informant Interviewer on focal of health facilities in different LGAs,  who were mentors and mentees of routine immunization in about 30 health facilities in Sokoto South, Sokoto North, Wamako and Tambuwal Local Government of Sokoto State,

Transcribed and translated the audio recordings into Word documents, backed them up and password-protected the files for security purpose and confidentiality.
