In June 2022, I took a deep dive into software engineering with the silicon valley-based Holberton School, after teaching Mathematics for about six years.

This decision was taken as I began to understand more about my personality, and myself as having a knack for problem-solving.

The 13-month, 10-hours-daily rigorous program at Holberton has molded me into an engineer having sound skills in DevOps and frontend, with specialization in backend technologies like Python, NodeJS, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Express, etc.

While I am currently (and always) expanding my skill set, I have strong passion for solving problems, logic, and seeing things work effectively and efficiently.

Software Engineer Intern - June 2022 – July 2023

Software Engineer
Learning Software Engineering through a rigorous training programme. Training is project-based, and requires no less than 10 hours per day dedicated to study and practice.
Accomplishments 
● Collaborated as the backend developer in a two-member team that developed a web application that connects artisans/handymen with customers/households.
● Also collaborated as the backend developer in a four-member team that built a web application offering accommodation services, as part of graduation web-stack portfolio project.
● Designed and modeled MySQL and MongoDB database schemas.
● Designed and implemented RESTful API endpoints for client-server communication.
● Managed application environments with Puppet.
● Implemented server cluster load-balancing with HAProxy, and monitoring with Data Dog.
● Created a bash-like shell in C language.
● Re-created the C standard library printf function.
