Gabriel Irogbarachi

Gabriel is a multi-talented 1998 graduate of Business Administration (2.1) from the famous University of Lagos after obtaining a Diploma equivalent in Computer Programming from the same University in 1990. In 2000, Gabriel acquired an MBA (Marketing) from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State.Gabriel has to his credit over 18years of Banking experiencefrom the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, Universal Trust Bank (UTB) Plc and the Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN) Plc between 1985 and 2007.In an effort to expand his Career Background, Gabriel left commercial banking for the Nigerian Capital Market and joined Meristem Securities Limited (Stockbrokers), an Operator in the Nigerian Capital Market in July 2008 as the Head of Internal Control/Audit. While in MERISTEM, Gabriel also doubled as the Head of Admin/HR for 2years.As a result of head-hunt, Gabriel had a 12 month stint at SHELTER MICROFINANCE BANK LTD betweenFebruary 2012 and January 2013 as the Head, InternalControl & Audit.He single handedly established an effective InternalControl/Audit unit of the Bank.Between February 2013 and February 2015, Gabriel worked with the Heritage Capital Markets Limited (Stockbrokers) as a Senior Manager in charge of Compliance and Control. March 2015, Gabriel joined RIMA Growth Pathway Microfinance Bank Limited, as an Assistant General Manager, in charge of Internal Control & Risk Management of the Bank in Port-Harcourt (a subsidiary of the Rivers State Microfinance Agency – RIMA), an initiative of the Rivers State Government. By October 2016, Mr Irogbarachi resumed as the Group Head, Internal Control & Audit at a Leading Private Hospital, MERIDIAN HOSPITALS LTD also in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State Gabriel has been actively involved in the following key areas: Internal Control, Compliance, Inspection (Internal Audit), Computer Audit, Risk Management & Control, Credit Risk Management,Bank Reconciliations, ConsumerBanking, Human Resources, Administration, Procurement, Information Technology Support  and Consultancy Services.Gabriel Irogbarachi is a Professional studentof the Information Systems Audit & ControlAssociation (ISACA) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).He is happily married and blessed with four (4) children.
