Etom Usang

I am a highly motivated person who is always ready to take on new challenges in order to develop myself. As a fresh graduate of Public Health in one of the most prestigious Universities in Nigeria (University of Calabar), I believe I have been equipped with both the theoretical and practical skills which can be applied in any public/global health organizations to achieve organizational goals.

During the period of my studies, I have served in few positions to help me acquire some real world experience of public health practice. For instance, I have served under the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (at the local level), I have worked for the WHO during the COVID-19 vaccination campaign. I have also served as a data Abstractor for the FHI360 in May, 2023 where I abstracted records from COVID-19 Vaccination Registers.

At the community level, I have served in various advocacy campaigns on Malaria prevention, HIV/AIDS education and sensitization, sensitization on sexually transmitted infections, sensitization of pregnant women in rural areas on the importance antenatal care and child routine immunization, etc.

I am also open to any jobs or opportunities that will enhance my public health experience.  

I am a graduate of the Department of Public Health, University of Calabar. I graduated with Second Class Upper Division (2:1).
