About EMMANUEL OKAFOR :

My goal is to seek challenging opportunities where I can fully use my skills for the success of organizations. Also, to potentially work within a collaborative setting where I can contribute to creating a high-quality and manageable environment for the community.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Geography and environmental management in the prestigious University of Port Harcourt and I have over 5 years of experience in using geographic information system and working with Unique Mappers Team Nigeria. I have also supervised and led teams in the field on a regular basis for the past years.
 

Experience

Assistant GIS Laboratory technician & Researcher University of Port Harcourt Cartography/GIS Laboratory Discussed topics such as technical specifications, customized solutions and operational problems. Offered technical support to users and clients regarding maintenance, development and operation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databases, equipment and applications.  Collection compiling and integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data, such as remote sensing and cartographic data for inclusion in map manuscripts.  Interpretation of aerial and orthophotographs. Read current literature, talked with colleagues, completed continuing education or participated in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, equipment or systems. Conducted research, data analysis, systems design or support for software such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or Global Positioning Systems (GPS) mapping software.
