I am dedicated and have experience of field work as a MHPSS Team Leader, and DDRR/ICRS Outreach, with strong academic grounding having a PGD in Education, HND in Urban and Regional Planning, Certificates in I Know Gender1-10 &16, Protection, PSEA, SGBV and other Humanitarian related courses with over six years working experience.

DDRR In Gombe DRR Camp. While coordinating Psychosocial activities in the Camp, I ensure Protection is mainstream in all activities while PSS approach is maintained. I conduct activities that prepare participants for suitable and successful reintegration, the activities I conduct includes; Psychological First Aid to Participants upon their arrival, PSS assessment is conducted to determine the psychosocial needs of the participants in the Rehabilitation center in other to deliver a tailored intervention towards individual not just a one size fits all or a blanket intervention and make referral to other Local Treatment Team in the camp, provide individual and group Lay Counselling, Psychoeducation, Sensitizations, Life-Skill Education, Focus Group Discussion, Conflict Mediation. PSS Seminar and capacity building, Participation in needs assessments and identify strategies to promote MHPSS activities, Support the review of MHPSS tools, Conduct Risk Assessment Survey, Post Rehabilitation PSS Survey and Satisfaction Survey, Conduct training sessions on MHPSS/Protection interventions with youth corps members and relevant stakeholders in the DRR Camp, participate in regular weekly and monthly internal meetings, Undertake duty travel relating to project activities, and Participate in regular staff meetings and Upload all activities into ICRS Data base.

In my previous role as MHPSS Team Lead, at Pulka, Ngala and as Monguno LGAs of Borno State and as SGBV focal person at Monguno and Pulka (IDP Camps and Host Communities). I coordinate MHPSS Team Members and Activities while ensuring Protection is mainstream in all activities and PSS approach is maintained in all activities, I Manage the women and girls’ safe spaces, Children’s recreation space, providing direct support for the displaced and survivors through conducting Lay Counselling, Community Mobilization, PFA, Conflict Mediation, Recreational Activities, coordinating livelihood activities, Counter Trafficking activities, Conduct profiling exercise, Handle Protection cases and other psychosocial activities. 

In my Role at Carling Schools Maiduguri as School Principal, I Teach Civic Education for senior classes and provide strategic direction in the school system, administer the budget, develop standardized curricula, assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage parent involvement, revise policies and procedures, hire and evaluate staff and oversee facilities.
