About Emmanuel Abu:
I am medical laboratory scientist by profession. I also hold a master's degree in public health. I have been in medical laboratory practice for over a period of 15 years with sound practical experiences and also a class room tutor. I have participated and attended relevant seminars and workshops on medical issues aimed at giving support to alleviating numerous health challenges in disease outbreak and diagnosis. My vision is to become a contributor and to be in the team of global health researchers to elucidate causes, disease diagnosis, disease control and prevention in the global health system.
Experience
I have worked professionally as a medical laboratory scientist over a period of 15 years. Over this period of 15 years I have been a lecturer in college of health sciences and technology Idah, Kogi State, Nigeria. I have also been in the team of health workers who are involved in epidemiological survey of various disease outbreak. Added to this experiences I have been a supervisor to medical laboratories in hospitals. Also to mention is my participation in medical laboratory Science program accreditation in schools and hospitals.
Education
I hold an associate degree in medical laboratory Science from federal college of vetinary and medical laboratory Technology Institute, Vom plateau State, Nigeria. Consequently I am a registered member of medical laboratory Science council of Nigeria and also registered member of medical laboratory scientist of Nigeria. Prior to the above I studied biochemistry (Bsc hons) from University of ilorin, kwara State. Most recently i obtained a master's degree in public health (MPH) from international University of Bamenda Cameroon, West Africa.
