I have about three (6) years developmental experience in project field work. I ‘am Undergoing my Maters degree in Agricultural extension with Taraba state university, Jalingo.

I am currently working on a PROSELL Project in Taraba State as a Livelihood Program Officer (LPO) with Development Exchange Centre (DEC) who is the implementing partner and Oxfam as on UE funded project. The programme is a 4-year EU sponsored intervention on Food Security in Taraba States. I am adept in the use of Microsoft Office, data collection and analysis using SPSS.  My experiences also include Community Mobilization, establishment and management of Village Savings and Loan associations, (VSLA), Farmer Training Field School (FTFS), Cash and Asset Transfers, Farm Input distribution, Coordinating and facilitation of Live Radio Programs, tracking the impact of various project components and coordinating with staff at different departments handling each project component to ensure all phases of the plan are going according to schedule.

PRO ACT. Pro Act project aims at improving the food security, nutrition, and resilience of vulnerable people in Adamawa and Kebbi state of northern Nigeria. It also aims at strengthening the productive capacities and governance of the agricultural sector by enhancing the capacity of local government; building the capacity of smallholder farmers and their associations to play policy influencing roles; working with the private sector; increasing food reserves through supporting farmers’ access to agriculture inputs and technologies; and enhancing the purchasing power of vulnerable populations through integrated cash transfers. 

The following took place under my supervision:

• We were able to create over 600 VSLA groups with the period of three years.
• We distributed the sum of 18,042,500 to venerable rural household through unconditional cash transfer. (620 beneficiaries are female 420 are male.)
• We distributed livestock to 2,275 rural household (2,275 does. 227 bucks and 18,638 poultry (chickens)
• We build 137 grain banks were 672,427.45 kg to 3,654 beneficiaries of food loan components of the project.

            PROSELL: Prosell is project funded by European union EU implemented by Oxfam international and Development Exchange Centre (DEC) in Taraba state. The project is aim at improving sustainable productivity, Food security, nutrition and income of small-scale farmers in an environmentally appreciated manner by harnessing private sector and demand driven markets intervention focussing on the comparative advantage crops, livestock and fish value chain in Taraba state, The overall objective is to build the resilience of 40,000:00 small-scale farmers.

• We able to create 1,500 VSLA groups within the first year of the project in Taraba state.

• Consolidation of monthly reports and other materials in consultation with the State Coordinator
