Chioma Izuogu

My name is Chioma Izuogu, I am applying for the position of an Information Technology Specialist.  I am a graduate of Computer Science from Ajayi Crowther University, with over 5 years post NYSC experience working with NOC- Unilorin as a volunteer, GHSC-PSM, and presently working in CNFA . I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Mini Masters in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University.

I have competences in basic Networking, installation of software and hardware. I also participate in the technical evaluation committee in the negotiation and purchase of IT equipment and accessories. Not only do I have experience in IT, I also have experience In other administrative roles such as Procurement, Documentations and Inventory keeping. 

I worked as IT Associate with Chemonics International in Abuja who are contractors to USAID on the Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management Project (GHSC-PSM), a $9.5bn, 8-year global award where I am responsible for over 250 staff and in a timely and efficient manner resolve IT related challenges centered around but not limited to log in issues, software installation, hardware repairs and remote access of cloud-based applications. 

I presently work at Cultivating New Frontier in Agriculture (CNFA) the prime implementing partner of USAID project, that won a 5-year global award of $15.7 million Agribusiness Investment Activity, I presently oversee all the activities that go on in the IT unit as well as support the administrative and procurements department in achieving their goals.

• Ensured every staff synched their personal OneDrive in the organization 
• Introduced the purchase of extra IT accessories in case there is a failure on the laptop, for proactive support. 
• Explained problem resolutions to others, and instructed others in implementing them. 
• Interacted with the vendors to acquire and implement new software and hardware, as well as upgrades and equipment maintenance. 
• Engaged in developing and ensured security procedures for computer software, networks, and data.

• Oversees the payment of ISPs are done and monitor to be sure the network does not go down
• Makes sure the COPs house is provided with network services
• Local Network maintenance and installations of software such as antivirus was done
• Introducing new IT policies for the organization.
• Ensured escalation was done to the home office IT helpdesk incase of issues that are beyond my control
• Introduced a better inventory management in the IT department, to enable better handover
