I have personal joy and satisfaction in being an educator. I have teaching and learning skill set (pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, data analysis, etc. I also have mastery of Content. I have over 15 years of experience (in education and programs such as the IGCSE and WAEC). I have a degree in Education Geography (Second Class Honors Upper Division). Masters in Geo-Tourism (M.SC) and a certified IGCSE Teacher with EDU CARE certificates etc. I have valuable transferable organizational skills and over fifteen years’ cognate experience in various educational institutions while consistently achieving an average ranking of 4.9 out of 5 for “quality of teaching” in student experience surveys and organizational appraisal.

I have an excellent communication, coordination, social and emotional intelligence skills which has significantly helped to increase my students’ ability to learn and research independently in a multicultural and multilingual educational system.

Geography teacher at British International School, Lagos, Nigeria. I have been teaching for over 15 years.

I have consecutively produced excellent Geography IGCSE results 100 percent A*- C. One of my students was awarded “Outstanding Cambridge Levers Award producing the highest mark in Nigeria in the Geography IGCSE June 2018.  I have also successfully presented candidates for AS/A- Level Geography recording excellent results for three (3) years. 

I graduated with 2nd Class (Honors) Upper Division in Education Geograpghy.

I studied at University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Nigeria.

Masters in Geo-tourism. This program is relevant in my teaching of Geography. The students are taught the purpose of tourism, how it helps to enhance our wellbeing and alot of models used to illustrate why people migrate, pattern of migration and the life cycle of tourism. This has helped to improve my students performances in their IGCSE and A Level results from B - A*, and their general knowledge of Geography. I have prepared over 300 students for both IGCSE and A Level Geography with remarkable results. I have consecutively produced excellent Geography IGCSE results 100 percent A*- B. One of my students was awarded “Outstanding Cambridge Levers Award producing the highest mark in Nigeria in the Geography IGCSE June 2018 by name Sonia Bendre.
