Chama Adakranda

A seasoned GBV and Child Protection Worker with over 7years experience in Programming and Humanitarian work in emergency, recovery and development work. I have expertise in Training, Project Planning and Management, Budget Management, Advocacy, Coordination, Partnership, Capacity building, Monitoring and Evaluation. I have been able to steer Humanitarian Team to achieves a high-quality result now and in my past roles. In addition, I have a strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion and commitment in promoting women’s and children’s rights, with the ability to write high quality proposals, donor reports and needs assessment reports. 

• Started my humanitarian career with International Rescue Committee as GBV Community Assistant August, 2015.
• Joined Plan International October, 2016 as GBV/Child Protection Officer. I rose through the ranks of Officer to GBV/Child Protection Coordinator. 
• Experience conducting training quality and accountability in humanitarian response, particularly on Sphere humanitarian standards (Sphere Focal Point, have conducted several trainings, and participate in the Core Humanitarian Standard discourse/process)
• Lead Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Protection (projects funded by UNHCR) and Integrated Child Protection and Gender-based Violence programmes in Northeast Nigeria across the BAY States (Borno, Adamawa and Yobe).
• Managed partnerships with UN agencies and other international agencies, including UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA, WFP etc.
