Aliyu Abdullahi

I am Aliyu Abdullahi and have graduated from University of Maiduguri and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Medical Radiography (2016).  I have completed the mandatory internship training, National service and worked 5years post graduation and have gained enough work experience. However I am keen on  changing my path and looking to explore humanitarian opportunities available to me and help this organisation achieve their set-purposes and mission statement using the experience I have gathered from my previous work experience.

I am now deeply interested in humanitarian aid and take interest in using my acumen to alleviate hardship to the common man with resources available to me. 

I have also developed a keen interest in Statistics, Bio-informatics and genera  research aimed at improving the quality of life of Citizens in my home country and beyond. 

I promise to abide by the operating guidelines and regulations of this organisation if given consideration to this post.

• I carry out a range of  procedures such as CT-Brain, CT -Abdomen according to professional training and departmental protocols, being proficient working in diagnostic rooms.
• I engage in service delivery and service improvement for the benefit of the patient and liaise with other Health Care Professionals and departmental staff on a daily basis as part of a wider inter-professional team.
• I have trained and supervise less experienced Radiographers, students, apprentices and other staff on imaging equipment, explaining the imaging protocols and diagnostic outcomes.
• I have developed my own knowledge, practice and development through continued professional development and reflective practice as per the requirements of the HCPC / IR(ME)R 2017.I have just completed a CPD on CT brain: Essentials organised by Radiology across borders 
• When I work, I accurately position patients ensuring good radiographic technique.
• I have a sound understanding of the physiological, psychological and social needs of all patients and their families.
• I assist the doctor by commenting on images in emergency room (ER).
• I know what clinical governance is and how it works including being accountable.
• I communicate clearly - written and verbal with ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels.
• I am a  tactful  and diplomatic individual when working with others
• I perfer to work independently and as part of a team with ability to prioritise workload. 
• I currently work in a busy department and I am able to concentrate on the task at hand despite the distractions of the busy department.
• I have at different times adapted to change within the work area and interpret the Trust’s policy on Violence and Aggression in order to maintain a safe working environment for myself and colleagues. 
• I work in a calm and organised manner and mixes in well as part of cohesive team
and highly motivated to provide a quality service at all times and keep up to date with the latest advances in all aspects of my professional duties.
I treat patients, visitors, and colleagues with respect, dignity and compassion and  to take personal responsibility for my actions.
• I am passionate for excellence
and seek out opportunities for improving the service offered and work all departmental shifts.
