As a graduate of Psychology and having spent two years as a support worker for a private Psychiatry hospital, voluntary work with an Elderly care NGO, and customer care experience for three years in a bank, I believe that I have the skills and training needed to provide quality support in all aspects of daily living to individuals with developmental disabilities and/ or mental health support needs. Ensure the health, safety, welfare, and independence of your clients and care for their personal needs. Helping them with domestic work, companionship, and medication. I believe my experience as a Mental support worker will help me do well.
 

My training includes Implementing treatment plans and administering medication and therapeutic care to patients, observing patients, and talking to them to learn more about the problems they are having. I then report any important information to the head nurse or physician caring for the patient. My experience includes helping patients with their personal needs such as using the bathroom, bathing, getting dressed, and eating.

I also have experience changing beds, cleaning up after patients, and helping to keep the facility clean and sanitized. I have a pleasant and friendly personality with the ability to help patients feel comfortable and confident that they are receiving the very best care possible, regardless of their condition.

I was able to Administer psychological assessments especially MMPI - Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). I found history taking interesting and I am good at it. During my university days, I was part of the electoral petition committee to plan a successful transition of the student union government. I also worked with a team of multi-disciplinary professionals as a psychology graduate in a Federal Psychiatry Hospital and attended world rounds. These made me a great team player.
