My name is Adebayo Salami, and I'm a seasoned software engineer with over 6 years of experience. Currently, I work on the Windows engineering team here at Microsoft. My expertise lies in building robust, scalable, and world-class software. Specifically, I have extensive knowledge of C# .NET Core, using .NET frameworks, software design, and database architecture.

At the start of my career, I spent three years at a Fin-tech company called Appzone Group, where I focused on developing financial solutions. During this period, I had the opportunity to grow significantly, gaining experience across the entire software development lifecycle. Seeking new challenges, I transitioned to the "Halogen Group," a firm providing security services to the nation. At Halogen, I played a pivotal role in building the IT division solution from scratch, honing my software design and architectural skills. Within three months, I was promoted to Engineering Team Lead, overseeing our department's engineering efforts on various projects.

Driven by my passion for technology's impact, I accepted a contract as a senior software engineer with "Software Business Solutions Consulting." Here, I worked on a national project—an E-bills Payment solution for the Nigerian Inter-bank Settlement System Plc. This project exposed me to microservices implementation, messaging queue systems, cryptography encoding, and working with distributed systems, further enhancing my software development skills. The success of this endeavor led to my retention as an Engineering Lead, where I contributed to projects like the Reward Management Solution for HMO company Mitera.

In October 2021, I joined Microsoft as a software engineer on the Windows team. My experience working on the Windows OS Shell has been nothing short of amazing. I've had the opportunity to contribute to the release of new features, including my favorite—Project 11By11—which significantly improved user interactivity and productivity across all Windows devices.

Now, I seek the next opportunity, where I’m able to drive business impact and achieve greater heights in my career. I am particularly interested in roles that allow me to leverage my expertise in software design and architecture, as well as my leadership skills, to deliver innovative solutions.
